What is the uniqueness of PowerPoint Ministries and 4GX DiscipleMaking?
Most discipleship ministries focus on small groups but do not take participants to the level of personal discipleship where the most measureable and impactful growth happens. Our ministry specialty is training trainers in personal discipleship.
Where are we going?
Our vision is to help begin movements of personal discipleship, through the local church, that will reach the ends of the earth and continue in successive generations. Our focus is making disciples who make disciples.
Why are we going there?
The mandate of the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19, 20 charges every believer to “go (as you are going) make disciples.” Simply said, we are going there in obedience to Christ and because less than one of ten Christians (5%) are involved in a personal discipleship relationship according to Barna Group research. That is not acceptable.
What does it feel like going there?
It is a feeling of personal joy like no other experience in life; like being in the sweet spot of God’s will. Nothing will excite you more that seeing God use you to help change another person’s life forever by sharing how he is changing you. There is also the powerful feeling of confidence you will experience that you are leaving a legacy for generations to come.
How are we going to do it?
Jesus gave and modeled for us the strategy, spiritual multiplication. The Apostle Paul obeyed and described spiritual multiplication through his relationship with Timothy, “And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will be qualified to teach others.” 2 Timothy 2:2 This verse includes four generations; Paul, Timothy, reliable men (and women) and others.
What will the rewards be?
In two words, changed lives! You will stand before the Lord one day with a host of people whose lives were changed through your obedience. There will be no other reward in your life that compares. Getting to know and helping others get to know Jesus is the super bowl of life. “For my determined purpose is that I may know Him…” Philippians 3:10
